An interview is still the only way a client will assess whether you are right for the company, therefore this could be your only chance so it is vital for you to get it correct.

All interviews should be structured, preparation is key and hopefully the client would have read your CV and prepared some questions, the same as yourself, you should have researched the company interviewing you and have some key questions at the ready.

Always dress professionally and upon meeting your interviewer give a firm handshake and make good eye contact. Ensure you have a copy of your CV along with any other relevant paperwork, it will stand you in good stead if you are prepared.

If you wish to make notes then ask if this is acceptable, it will assist you in being able to ask open relevant questions. As you will be asked many open ended questions who, what, where, when to retrieve information from yourself.

If at the end of the interview you are interested then express this to the client and remember always smile throughout.
